Clinical psychologist

Dr. Amy Montagu is a Clinical Psychologist and Neuropsychologist from New Zealand. She sees children, adults and older adults for psychological assessment and therapy, presenting with a wide range of difficulties such as anxiety, stress, depression, relationship difficulties, grief, loss and trauma.

Amy uses a range of evidence-based therapies in her practice, including cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), schema therapy, eye movement desensitisation and reprocessing (EMDR), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), and other mindfulness-based therapies.  

Amy is a qualified Clinical Psychologist and Neuropsychologist. She has completed 9 years of University level training and has three degrees in total. Following het clinical training, she worked in a number of settings in NZ, including working with Older Adults (65+) at Waitemata DHB; with children and adults at Massey University Centre for Psychology; and providing Neuropsychological assessments for children on the Autism Spectrum as part of a clinical study.
