Bethany brings a comprehensive background of knowledge and experience into her sessions with clients. Bethany obtained her Masters Degree in Clinical Psychology in Perth, Western Australia and since then has worked as a psychologist in both private practice and non-for-profit settings. Bethany has worked with both children and adults in supporting them to overcome a wide range of emotional and psychological difficulties, including anxiety, depression, addiction, unprocessed trauma and abuse, behavioural difficulties and attachment problems. Bethany works in addiction treatment as a consulting psychologist, as well as delivering group programs. She also provides supervision to clinicians working in the drug and alcohol industry.

Bethany uses a range of evidence based therapies in her practice, including cognitive behavioural therapy, schema therapy, eye movement desensitisation and reprocessing (EMDR), acceptance and commitment therapy, and other mindfulness based therapies. Bethany uses EMDR as a treatment modality specifically to assist people in overcoming and reprocessing simple and complex trauma. She is also vastly trained in the field of mindfulness and, along with therapy, assists her clients in developing skills to help them lead a more balanced and healthy lifestyle. Bethany largely works from a holistic framework and understands the important relationship between our mental health and physical health.
