William Irwin

Bill Irwin is an American citizen who has lived in Bali, Indonesia for over 10 years. He lives in Sanur with his wife and two kids. Bill’s work with The Lighthouse Bali includes business development and program operations.

Bill’s educational background is a business degree from the University of Notre Dame, Indiana, in the USA. After graduating, he moved to Bali where he formed a villa management and development company. A few years ago, Bill turned his life around and discovered a new and fulfilling way of living – substance free. Following his passion for life, he started working for The Lighthouse Bali at the beginning of 2018.

Since joining the Lighthouse Bali, Bill has assisted with day to day operations, as well as business development. With over 10 years of business experience in Indonesia, and his fluency with the local language, he has been a huge asset to the company.

An integral part of Bill’s life is his willingness to help others. This includes his charity work for multiple organizations and his volunteer work in the local community, helping others in recovery. The Lighthouse Bali is more than just a job for Bill, it is an opportunity to be part of a recovery family.

Outside of work, Bill enjoys spending time with his wife and two kids. Weekends are filled with surfing, wakeboarding, and family brunches. Bill’s daughter once told us that she had figured out what The Lighthouse Bali does. At aged 7 she said: “The Lighthouse Bali is like a hospital but instead of fixing bones, it fixes people’s hearts.” We could not agree more with this sentiment.
